Gingerbread House Decorating Competition, join us for an afternoon of family fun

Third Age Gingerbread Village is back! It's time to start celebrating Christmas so why not enjoy a family fun day at the Talbot Hotel in Stillorgan on 4 December, 2 - 5pm.
Competition entry €20 per house kit and sponsorship cards are available.
House kits include:
- a pre-prepared house ready to assemble
- cake board
- icing
- fondant icing
- instructions for delivery of fully decorated house
Get imaginative and decorate your house at home, bring to the venue on the morning of the competition and return in the afternoon with the family for fun, games and gingerbread house display. Childrens fun and games, facepainting by Nancy Parnis, Santa's postbox with letters available for writing and a raffle among the fun things to do.
The houses on display will wow you with their ingenuity, expertise and talent and we have two categories this year. Over 16s and under 16s with a fabulous hamper for the winner in each category. As ever the wonderful Ciara Gorman Fennessy will be picking the winners and the 98FM Thunders will be joining us on the day and running an online social media competition with prizes for two lucky winners. Lisa Carlile, from The Cake Fairy in Athgarvan has agreed to create another wonderful piece made from sugarcubes.
Entry to the main event in the Talbot Hotel 2-5pm is free, however, donations are very welcome at the door in aid of Senior Help Line a national programme of Third Age.
We're delighted that a number of organisations and craft groups are holding their own Gingerbread Village events with Third Age supplying house kits and information. If you or your organisation would like to hold an internal competition we would be more than happy to help with the logistics.
